Primorye residents can receive a tax deduction for sports from 2022
Residents of Primorye will be able to receive a social tax deduction for sports, starting from January 1, 2022. It is necessary for taxpayers to declare a deduction of personal income tax on actual expenses for the rendered sports and recreational services through the employer.
According to the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Primorsky Territory, the maximum amount of expenses from which it will be possible to receive a tax deduction will be 120 thousand rubles. A citizen has the right to receive a deduction of 13%, which should not exceed 15.6 thousand rubles. Social tax deduction can be obtained not only for yourself, but also for children under 18 years old.
“The applicant must be a personal income tax payer and have documents confirming the actual expenses for paying for sports and recreation services (copies of contracts, cash receipts). You can apply for a deduction to the district inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service or to the employer, ”specified the specialists of the Ministry of Sports.
In order to receive a tax deduction, it is required that organizations providing such services be included in a special list of organizations and meet the following conditions – physical culture and sports must be the main activity, employees with specialized education not lower than secondary vocational must work in the state. Also, organizations should not be included in the register of unscrupulous suppliers of goods and services.
Recall that last year the Russian Ministry of Sports approved a list of individual entrepreneurs and physical culture and sports organizations, in which consumers can receive a social tax deduction by engaging in physical culture and sports. The list includes 3,880 Russian organizations, including 55 from Primorye. The list can be found on the page of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Primorsky Territory.
“Organizations and individual entrepreneurs providing sports and recreation services and not included in the list of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for 2022 will be able to apply for inclusion in the list as early as 2023. Full information can be obtained from the regional Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports," the ministry stressed.
From January 2023, citizens will be able to receive a tax deduction for sports and recreation services on their own – through the personal account of the State Services portal or directly at the territorial department of the Federal Tax Service.
It should be noted that the development of mass sports, the involvement of the population in regular physical education and sports are the tasks of the regional project "Sport is the norm of life" of the national project "Demography", approved by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
